Sexually Transmitted Infections

Screening

Many students seek out routine STI screening, even when they are not having symptoms, just to be sure they don't have an STI.  This is especially important, since many infections do not cause symptoms, especially in women.  The Student Health Insurance will cover screening for gonorrhea, Chlamydia, syphilis, and HIV once per plan year.

Symptoms

If you are sexually active and experiencing symptoms (unusual discharge, sores, bumps, blisters, bleeding between periods or after sex, burning and pain with urination, pelvic pain) call for an appointment for evaluation and treatment (614) 292-4321.

Anonymous HIV testing is available at the OSU Student Wellness Center in the RPAC facility (614) 292-4527.  An anonymous HIV test means that your name is not used and no written results are given to you.
