If you are the covered student under the OSU Student Health Insurance Plan or WilceCare Supplement, your claims will be processed automatically according to the benefits to which you are entitled under your plan. For benefit details, please visit the OSU Student Health Insurance website. Co-pay and co-insurance amounts for eye exams, dental visits, nutrition visits, and prescriptions are due at the time of service.
If you are insured under a plan other than the OSU Student Health Insurance Plan or WilceCare, we encourage you to explore healthcare options before the need arises. We are currently not a network provider for any plan other than the OSU Student Health Insurance. Please contact your insurance company to determine how or if your plan will cover your care here. When speaking with your insurance company, it is helpful to give them our tax ID number, 31-1657245, to differentiate our practice from other physician groups and medical facilities associated with The Ohio State University. This information will aid your insurance company in providing correct benefit information.
If you would like us to bill your medical insurance company directly, you will need to stop by the Patient Relations Department on the 3rd floor to register your medical insurance. You should do so on or before the day of your appointment. We will make a copy of your insurance ID card and have you sign a medical information release form which will enable us to bill your insurance company for the next year. You will need to renew your release each year or sooner if there are changes in your insurance information.
Make sure you carry an insurance ID card at all times. If you are unable to obtain an insurance ID card from the employee's human resources department or insurance agent who provides your coverage, please make a copy of the front and back of your family member's insurance ID card.
If your insurance carrier does not send payment to the Wilce Student Health Center within 60 days from the date of service, the full amount due is transferred to patient responsibility.
The Wilce Student Health Center does participate with many pharmaceutical plans. Consult our pharmacy at (614) 292-0125 for a complete list and determination of your eligibility. Co-pay amounts are due at the time of service.
